Im part of the lgbt comunity and i hace to say that most gay, bi, trans people are chill with that but on the internet you only get to see the worst part, the overexagerated people. Thats why there is so much hate right know towards things like pride. In the old times there was hate because of things like religion, now the hate comes more because of the bad examples that se get to see. You are misunderstanding cause and effect relationship. LGBT people have been so heavily stereotyped and mistreated throughout history (doesn't help that this guy is literally spreading a stereotype in this post) that they are very outspoken about it now. Both as a celebration of their new freedom, and as an effort to keep fighting and make sure society doesn't backslide. I think a little freedom of expression is the least we can offer them after centuries of either executing them or turning them into social pariahs.

Gay people will have the right to do this when being straight and being gay will not make you being treated differently. Gay people are stigmatized, mocked and kinda alienated, because they are gay. Gays get misstreated or even killed in a lot of countries. It got better in the west but there are still a lot of people who just judge someone based on their sexuality. I think we should start to just care if someone is an idiot or not. Skin color, country of birth or sexuality (didn't list them all here) shouldn't matter at all.
